Boutique Display Homes at Coomera Waters

06 March 2008

Buyers at the multi-award winning residential community Coomera Waters are seeing first hand what their dream homes could look and feel like at the estate"s million-dollar hill precinct, Village High.

Four display homes currently feature in the boutique village set on a high point with spectacular views to South Stradbroke Island and the Broadwater.

Coomera Waters is a $570 million masterplanned eco-residential community on the Gold Coast north shore, being undertaken by national property developer Austcorp Group Limited.

The Coomera Waters Display Village is located at the development"s heart, in close proximity to a stylish 72-berth marina, shopping precinct, and one of the two "residents-only" recreational clubs.

Austcorp Queensland state land manager Scott Biggs said the village showcases the work of some of the most sought-after boutique builders in Southeast Queensland, including Petty Constructions, Brett Ward Homes, Great Style Homes and Golden Edge Homes.

"This group of builders have a strong presence at Coomera Waters," Mr Biggs said, "They provide personalised service and deliver architecturally designed homes specially designed to suit the unique elevated environment at the estate."

"They are familiar with Coomera Waters" environment, the building covenants and the variety of homesite layouts. This enables them to produce designs that suit specific lots, providing an easy solution for buyers."

Mr Biggs said the boutique nature of the village enabled visitors to stop in one location and see a range of homes, each boasting sensational views and individual charm.

"These homes raise the bar in terms of quality and architectural design on the northern Gold Coast," he said.

Golden Edge Homes" two-storey display home in Village High, called The Savannah Mk2, is one of three displays the builder has constructed at Coomera Waters. The home last year took top honours in the Queensland Master Builders Association (QMBA) Gold Coast Display Homes over $550,000 category.

Golden Edge Homes managing director Michel Mouglalis said the home"s open plan design allowed views to be enjoyed, while drawing in natural light.

"We wanted to take advantage of the sloping block to showcase the spectacular outlook from as many rooms as possible, with the living areas and the majority of bedrooms all boasting vistas over the harbour and waterways," he said.

The 412sqm display home includes four bedrooms, plus study, and is situated on a 650sqm block.

Another Coomera Waters builder to receive praise last year was Great Style Homes in the Queensland Housing Industry of Australia awards with the bathroom in its display home at 16 Village High Drive.

The entire 485sqm home is impressive, expertly showing how the classic features of an old Queenslander can be revitalised to create an ultra-modern home.

The home is built over six levels to complement the sloping site. Internal spaces merge seamlessly with outdoor living terraces to capture expansive skyline views to Runaway Bay, Sanctuary Cove and to overlook the Coomera Waters Marina Village.

Successfully created to let the outside in is Brett Ward Homes" open plan display home at 9 Village High Drive.

The builder has achieved magnificent easterly views by using the natural contours of the land to its advantage. These are captured instantly upon entering the home, with views spanning from the front to the rear door with 5.7 metre ceilings.

Indoor living spaces in the home flow seamlessly with the outdoor terraces of the deck and entertaining area, down to the pool deck.

The home features large open plan living areas, three large double bedrooms and a semi-detached study/office.

Meanwhile, outdoor living and entertainment has also been the focus for Petty Constructions" two-storey display home at 15 Village High.

The QMBA award-winners have cleverly built a 420sqm four-bedroom home on an elevated site, which makes the most of never-to-be-built-out views. Large verandas on both levels provide the perfect places for relaxing and entertaining.

The pool, outdoor terraces and landscaped areas provide additional retreats.

Homes can be purchased furnished and with options for leaseback agreements.
