Living is Idyllic in an Eco-Friendly Community

08 January 2008

Mixing development with conservation is a winning formula for national property developer Austcorp Group Limited with its signature eco-residential community, Coomera Waters.

The Gold Coast north shore development has won multiple property industry awards and sustained strong buyer interest over the past 7 years to become one of the best selling projects in south east Queensland.

Boasting natural gardens of billabong ponds, walking trails, water decks, cycle paths, set within a lush parkland environment, it is no wonder why thousands of people are calling Coomera Waters home.

Buyers at Coomera Waters enjoy first-class services and amenities including 24-hour on site security, two resident recreation clubs featuring swimming pools, tennis courts, a gymnasiums, sauna, volleyball court and barbecue facilities, along with the vibrant Marina Village shopping and commercial precinct.

With an emphasis on lifestyle in a pristine, natural environment, Coomera Waters offers a number of different land options to suit a wide variety of buyers. These include large green homesites, elevated homesites, hilltop land with views and absolute waterfront homesites with direct Broadwater access.

Austcorp Queensland"s state land manager, Scott Biggs, said the latest land release at Coomera Waters was attracting strong interest from end users and investors.

"Homesites in Nature"s Retreat are located in an environment enhanced by parks and natural reserves, while still being close to the Coomera Waters Marina Village, the social and vibrant hub of the community," he said.

"Nature"s Retreat offers some of the last flat land to ever be available at Coomera Waters so it is selling well."

Prices for homesites in Nature"s Retreat start at $325,000 and blocks are generous, ranging to 1050 square metres.

With summer here, waterfront sales have increased and are approaching sell-out with homesites priced from $750,000 to $820,000.

"With direct access to the Broadwater and featuring approval for private pontoons, this represents some of the best waterfront land available" Mr Biggs said.

Mr Biggs said the time to buy at Coomera Waters was now.

"Since the launch of Coomera Waters in September, 2000 we have seen non-waterfront land more than doubled and waterfront land values more than trebled," he said.

"Property analysts recognize the growth potential at Coomera and before Christmas it suburb made the Top 12 Queensland Hotspots report as one of the state"s hottest emerging property markets.

"We can only assume property prices are going to increase in line with the predicted population boom of the northern Gold Coast."

Located just east of Dreamworld on Foxwell Road, Coomera Waters is based around a 17-hectare harbour and a 72-berth marina with deepwater ocean access.

The community is just 40 minutes from Brisbane, 15 minutes from Southport and with easy access to the M1 Motorway, rail link and numerous public and private schools with future infrastructure to include university and TAFE campuses, library, shopping and entertainment in the planned Coomera Town Centre.

In recognition of its environmental sensitivity, Coomera Waters was awarded in late 2006 the prestigious ‘EnviroDevelopment" status by the Urban Development Institute of Australia. It is one of only six developments in Australia to be given the certification based on strict scientific benchmarks for environmental sustainable developments.

Special initiatives at Coomera Waters include an advanced communications network, water management system, building standards that promote energy efficiency and liveability, use of environmentally-friendly reticulated gas or solar hot water, and native flora and fauna protection measures.
