Sales Surge at Coomera Waters New Land Release

Purchasers have rushed in for the latest land release at the $500 million Coomera Waters, with 60 per cent of lots secured within three weeks of their launch.

Only 13 of the 32 lots remain in the second stage of the Nature's Retreat precinct.

The success of the new release has capped off a successful second half of the financial year for the multiple award winning eco-community, located on the northern Gold Coast.

More than $20 million worth of developer stock sold in the five months to the end of May alone, including eight of the 10 final remaining absolute waterfront lots, where the average lot price was $800,000.

Austcorp Queensland land manager Scott Biggs said the demand for quality residential land in south east Queensland was driving the huge sales success of Coomera Waters.

"Coomera Waters is one of the northern Gold Coast's most successful developments, underpinned by the strength of the residential market which is one of the fastest growing in Australia," Mr Biggs said.

"The Nature's Retreat precinct has been well received by the market and features some of the best land available at Coomera Waters. It is a serene area, enhanced by natural parkland reserves.

"We have been inundated with enquiries since the new release was officially launched to the market in early June and we expect the remaining homesites to sell quickly."

Homesites available in Nature's Retreat are priced from $325,000. They are as large as 1232sqm, with settlement expected in September at the earliest.

"The lots are expansive and particularly appeal to active, growing families who are looking for spacious back yards to house their water toys, build a pool or even a shed," he said.

"In addition, is the Coomera Waters' 17 hectare marina offering deep water ocean access direct to the Broadwater and Moreton Bay. So its position is ideal for people who love their water sports."

Coomera Waters is located in the northern Gold Coast growth corridor, where there is more than $5 billion of development activity either planned or underway.

Coomera Waters has sustained buyer interest over the past seven years to become national developer Austcorp's flagship residential community, with future plans to include a Master Builders Queensland Display Village by mid 2009.

Austcorp has sold more than 1000 homesites at Coomera Waters, which upon completion in 2011 will comprise approximately 1556 homesites.
